A Little History

Creative Computing West was founded in 1996 by Rex and Donna Couch and James Diorio. Creative Computing West was originally located at the corner of 7th and Congress in downtown Austin.

Serving local advertising agencies and design firms with color duplication and digital file output, Creative Computing West soon became known by art directors and production managers as simply CC West.

In May of 2000, CC West helped introduce advanced digital color technology from both Xerox and Heidelberg to the Austin area with the latest in advanced printing equipment, designed to deliver high-quality color in record time.

November of 2003, CC West was one of Austin's first printing companies to move to CtP (Computer-to-Plate) technology, with the installation of a new full-color Heidelberg press.

In March 2006, CC West’s Wide Format department took shape with its new 8,000 square foot production space. Now CC West has the opportunity to continue its growth in the Poster, Banner and Display Graphics business.

Big news comes in December 2008 as CC West moves under one bigger roof. More new equipment was also added this year as CC West installed a new direct-to-board printer in Wide Format, new bindery equipment in Offset and one of Austin’s first Chem-free Offset platemakers, helping make CC West one of Austin’s greenest printers. In October of 2009 an additional 6,000 square feet of production space will come online as we expand all departments.

Over the past twelve years, CC West has concentrated its effort to become Austin's leading resource for fast-turnaround, quality four-color reproduction. Today we offer our clients the best in Offset, Digital and Wide-Format printing. We thank all of our loyal customers for giving us the opportunity to be of service.
