Cleats are protrusions or extensions on the surface of an object that provide additional grip. We make our prints with cleats so you can securely hang them on a wall. The cleats have an adhesive strip for easy attachment to the back of a frame. Don’t be surprised to see a cow roaming around the offices of CC West. That’s just ‘Armoodillo Cow’, our newest staff member. Armoodillo Cow is from the Austin Cow Auction, recently held at the Moody Theater at ACL Live, hosted by Jay Leno and presented by Milton Verret.
Raising over $1.5 million dollars for the Dell Children’s Medical Center, this was one of the most colorful events in Austin’s history and a whole lot of fun. Amoodillo was part of a life-sized fiberglass herd of over forty cows, all painted by local Austin artists. They all found new homes quickly as the bidding was fast and furious. Two cows went for $150,000 and set a new record for the event known around the world as the Cow Parade. Many others were in the $30,000 plus range.
Amoodillo wasn’t quite at that high price point but we love her just the same. Painted by Marybell Cruz, Amoodillo has made herself right at home here at CC West. So the next time you’re in the area, stop by and see her.
Armoodillo Cow is now displayed in a dedicated glass encased room at the offices of CC West Printing and will be given a new last name Cha.
